Whale 2026 – Info & Meals Form

REGISTRATION

Registration will be from 16h00 – 19h00 on Friday 14 August at De Hoop Collection, De Hoop Nature Reserve and from 06h00 at the start venue at Potberg for those staying outside the Reserve and unable to attend the registration and briefing dinner.

TRANSFER TO START

Transfer to start (Potberg) from De Hoop Collection (race village) on Saturday. Buses leave De Hoop promptly at 05h50 for the 53km start (07h00) and 07h50 for the 35km start (09h00) for the 30min drive to the Start at Potberg. Supporters may drop you at the Start at Potberg but you may not self-drive and leave your car there as there is no transport provided back to the Start later.

MEALS

Briefing and Prize giving dinners are complimentary for runners, but not compulsory. You will receive lunch at the finish. For catering purposes please indicate if you will be attending.

• Saturday Lunch - R230pp for adult / R160pp for kids 11yr or under
• Saturday Dinner - R300pp for adult / R210pp for kids 11yr or under.

RUNNERS BREAKFAST

On Race Day available at De Hoop Restaurant from 04h45 for 53km and from 06h00 for 35km. R160pp.

SUPPORTERS BREAKFAST

At De Hoop Restaurant from 08h00-10h30 on Saturday for supporters and Sunday for runners & supporters – R230pp for adults / R100pp for kids 11yr or under. Payment via Credit Card on completion of this form.

• Fruit salad, yogurt, De Hoop Muesli, Muffins with jam and cheese, eggs, bacon, sausage and tomato, fruit juice, filter coffee and tea

As per email. The Whale of Trail event always supports the local Ouplaas Farm School. This year raising funds to continue assisting with the development of the school as it continues to grow.
